Celebrating the Spirit of Unity

Hopscotch Paint Splat

Talking To The Moon is inspired by the Chinese Mooncake festival, where the full circular moon signifies domestic harmony, unity and gratitude. It is celebrated at the time of the year where the moon is shining at its brightest and fullest, by giving thanks and offering prayers.

This cocktail uses pears as an ingredient. The Chinese word for pear “Li”, sounds similar to the Chinese word for separation. The inclusion of pears symbolises hope for togetherness and closeness. During the Mooncake Festival, Mooncakes are also commonly exchanged to signify respect and esteem.

The drink is also served in a moon like glassware, with a light patche below to represent the glow of the full moon. The drink is served with homemade lychee & champagne snow-skin mooncake.
